Celebrate San Valentino with Il Gattopardo’s Italian Specials

Il Gattopardo, Mayfair’s restaurant inspired by 1960s Italy, will be one of London’s most intimate destinations for Valentine’s Day celebrations this year, offering special creations to celebrate, including a new pasta dish and a burgundy Valentine’s Day Tavoletta. 

Once settled among the warmth of the Dion et Arles-designed restaurant, guests can choose to begin their meal with Il Gattopardo’s elegant Manuale d’Amore cocktail, composed of Ferrari Blanc de Blanc and Crème de Cassis. The restaurant’s extensive list of cocktails and fine wines from Italy and beyond will also be available to add a special touch to the evening.

Special for San Valentino, andalongside the A-la-Carte menu of modern interpretations of Italian regional dishes, Il Raviolo degli Innamorati will be served; pastelpink in colour and a heart-shaped rendition of the classic pasta dish, filled with ricotta, spinach and egg yolk, dressed tableside with parmesan cream and finished with winter black truffle shavings.

For dessert, a burgundy Venezia Chocolate Tavoletta – a bespoke twist on the restaurant’s signature chocolate bar creations: London and Dubai – has been created by Il Gattopardo’s Pastry Chef, Galileo Reposo. The chocolate bar is composed of Inspiration Framboise Valrhona chocolate, emblazoned with the signature golden leopard, enrobes a filling of raspberry, crisped rice, candied lemon and rose water, balancing sweet and tart flavours with the delicate essence of rose, the flower of love.
