To avoid ‘Attraction Planning Dilemma’ real people, with real recommendations,
are helping visitors make the most of every moment in London

LONDON (JULY 22, 2026) – According to VisitBritain, the UK received an estimated 43.5 million inbound visits in 2025. With a similar figure forecast for 20261, and nearly 1 in 5 Brits choosing to swap a holiday abroad for a staycation2, London is set to remain a top global holiday destination throughout the summer and beyond.
Spanning over 600 square miles, the UK capital is geographically big, with visitors often feeling overwhelmed by the sprawling layout and packed transport networks.
This is what sparked the team at Hyatt Regency London Blackfriars to develop ‘Your Stay, The Blackfriars Way’, a new free recommendations platform, which has been personally curated by people who know London inside and out, from concierge and front office to housekeeping and sales, spotlighting iconic sights, local tips and hidden gems – all within easy reach.
With so much to see in London, deciding where to start can feel like a challenge and when every minute counts, spending hours travelling between attractions is time you can’t get back. To eliminate ‘Attraction Planning Dilemma*, the app has been designed with holidaymakers in mind, to help them discover the wide range of landmarks and activities available on their doorstep, saving them time and worry about planning the wrong itinerary.
Mohammad Labban, General Manager Hyatt Regency London Blackfriars, says: “There are people who grow up wishing to visit London and, in some cases, save up for years to make it happen. Others are returning to rediscover a favourite city, celebrate a special occasion or simply make the most of a weekend away. Whatever brings them to us, we want to ensure that we give all our guests the perfect start and end point for a great day in our wonderful city.
“‘Your Stay, The Blackfriars Way’ showcases the rich cultural experiences on our doorstep, from world-class museums and theatres to iconic landmarks and viewpoints. We want to actively share the invaluable local knowledge of our team so that guests can go home having experienced more of London as a result.”

Having a well-tailored plan for visiting London and all its attractions starts with choosing a centrally located base. Hyatt Regency London Blackfriars is perfectly positioned in the heart of the city just across Blackfriars station, gateway to major airports and train stations, and within walking or cycling distance of Westminster, the South Bank, Southwark, London Bridge, Tower Bridge, the City of London and even, Leicester Square, Piccadilly Circus, Soho and Covent Garden.
Those who live here, also know the city is highly walkable with an extensive cycling infrastructure, making it an ideal destination for those who want to get their steps in and discover the city at their own pace.
Driven by the team’s expert knowledge, the list includes renowned landmarks such as St Paul’s Cathedral (0.4 mi / 960 steps) and Millenium Bridge (0.5 mi / 1,200 steps), cultural attractions like the National Theatre (1 mi / 2,400 steps) and Shakespeare’s Globe (0.8 mi / 1,920 steps), and viewpoints like Sky Garden (1.1 mi / 2,640 steps) and the London Eye (1.3 mi / 3,120 steps).
Dropdown filters on the app allow guests to find experiences suitable for their trip and locations are grouped for short, medium and longer distance walks or cycles.
Suggested itineraries:
- Guests looking for riverside experiences can use the app to head west along the Thames for a bite to eat at one of the South Bank’s lively street markets, then climb up the London Eye to admire the city from a different perspective, before enjoying the unmissable view of Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament from Westminster Bridge.
- Guests interested in cultural tourism can use the app to head east to appreciate St Paul’s Cathedral’s spectacular architecture, then carry on to the Bank of England Museum for the chance to touch and lift a genuine gold bar and then take in the royal history of the Tower of London.
The location cards include a video at the top featuring a member of the hotel team introducing their favourite destination and insider tips. Designed to add value and bring a more personal touch to the guest experience in an increasingly digital world, the videos showcase the people behind the service, who lead with empathy and action and are willing to share their local knowledge so that guests can feel confident that they are making the most of their stay.
Chloe, Sales Executive, recommends visiting Tower Bridge, just a 10-minute bike ride from the hotel, for its incredible views, rich history and excellent photo opportunities. Meanwhile, Chef Steph points guests to Borough Market, a short cycle away, home to some of the finest produce, passionate traders and incredible food from around the world.
