Two British icons come together to create one of London’s most distinctive luxury residences
In a celebration of British creativity, craftsmanship and style, Brown’s Hotel and Paul Smith announce the Paul Smith Grand Suite, a new three-bedroom residence style suite launching July 2026 in the heart of Mayfair.
Bringing together two iconic British names – London’s first luxury hotel and one of Britain’s most celebrated designers, showcasing heritage, individuality and contemporary design, infused with Paul Smith’s Signature Stripes, bold colour palette and playful sophistication.
Expanding upon the much-admired Sir Paul Smith Suite, the new Grand Suite reimagines the accommodation as an expansive three-bedroom private residence-style suite, connected by its own dedicated Paul Smith hallway.
Created in collaboration with Olga Polizzi, Director of Design at Rocco Forte Hotels, the Paul Smith Grand Suite extends the warmth and character of the original suite across two additional bedrooms situated beyond the Paul Smith hallway, creating a seamless and immersive guest experience infused with Paul Smith’s unmistakable creative language.
Throughout the residence, guests will discover the designer’s unmistakable sense of curiosity, colour, and individuality. Highlights include curtains lined with the iconic Paul Smith stripes, inspired by tailored suit linings, developed with long-time collaborator Maharam Fabrics, which are playfully tied back by using real Paul Smith ties. Another long-term collaborator, The Rug Company, has provided rugs from the designer’s 2026 collection.
Celebrating British craftsmanship, the suite showcases hand-painted Paul Smith Signature Stripe porcelain lamps from Stoke-on Trent based craft studio Lyngard. The Paul Smith Grand Suite also features commissioned pieces from British ceramist’s Charlotte Salt and Elaine King, alongside bespoke glassware from British glassmakers Emsie Sharp and Stewart Hearn. The inclusion of Scottish fabrics such as Harris Tweed are peppered throughout the suite, a nod to the recent Paul Smith ready-to-wear collections and reinforces British craftsmanship at the forefront of this project.
The suite mirrors Sir Paul Smith’s ‘magpie’ collecting style, featuring a selection of English antiques and vintage Japanese screen prints representing Sir Paul’s historic love for Japan. Among the collectibles is a vintage model yacht, creatively refitted with sails made from Paul Smith shirt fabrics and banana cast bronze door handles, all encapsulate the brand’s playful spirit.
The result is a richly layered and deeply personal environment that captures the very best of British design – combining the intimacy of a private contemporary Mayfair residence with the refined service, history and elegance of Brown’s Hotel.
