Turkish operator Kaya Hotels & Resorts has formally entered the London market with the rebranding of the Grade II-listed Great Northern Hotel at King’s Cross as the Kaya Great Northern Hotel (Kaya GNH).
The 88-key property, acquired by Kaya Tourism Group in June 2024, represents the group’s first overseas investment and marks a strategic step in its European expansion. Kaya has overseen operations since December 2024, with the rebrand completing on 5 September 2025. A dedicated website, kayagnhlondon.com, will support the relaunch.
As part of the transition, the group will roll out its Kaya Club Card loyalty programme to London guests, offering tailored rewards and experiences designed to align with its focus on personalised, high-quality service.

A Kaya Hotels & Resorts spokesperson commented:
“We are delighted to have made our first international hotel investment in London. With this hotel, we aim to showcase the finest examples of Turkish hospitality and increase the number of foreign tourists visiting our hotels in Türkiye. Additionally, we are proud to be the first Turkish tourism company to make such a significant hotel investment in the UK. We believe this investment will strengthen mutual tourism relations between Turkey and the UK.”
The move underscores Kaya’s strategy of leveraging its established domestic portfolio to build visibility in key European destinations. The group sees the London acquisition as both a flagship international asset and a bridge for strengthening inbound and outbound flows between Turkey and the UK.
