Delphina Hotels & Resorts has achieved Green Key certification for all eight of its Sardinian properties, strengthening its position as a leader in sustainable hospitality.

The international accreditation, awarded by the Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE), recognises compliance with more than 130 criteria covering environmental and social responsibility. The certification extends to the group’s entire collection, including Hotel Capo d’Orso Thalasso & SPA 5*, Resort Valle dell’Erica Thalasso & SPA 5*, Hotel Marinedda Thalasso & SPA 5*, Resort Cala di Falco 4* superior, Hotel Relax Torreruja Thalasso & SPA 4* superior, Park Hotel & SPA Cala di Lepre 4*, Resort & SPA Le Dune 4*, and Residence il Mirto.

General Manager Libero Muntoni said:

“Environmental protection has always been a priority for us. Obtaining Green Key certification for all our properties confirms that authentic hospitality and excellent service can go hand in hand with development in harmony with the environment and the territory.”

Delphina first formalised its sustainability approach in 2014 with the launch of its We Are Green® project, which has since evolved into a structured policy. Initiatives include exclusive use of 100% renewable electricity, investments in low-impact photovoltaic systems, the elimination of single-use plastics, and biodiversity protection programmes. The group also promotes local sourcing through its Genuine Local Food Oriented® and Selezione Delphina labels.

Recent efforts have focused on waste reduction, energy and water efficiency, and staff training to embed environmental awareness at every level.

The group’s long-term commitment has already earned international recognition, including the title of “World’s Leading Green Independent Hotel Group” at the World Travel Awards.
